Design
Pattern 3732 builds a nine-piece dress around a two-piece yoke, with the short sleeve cut in one with the yoke rather than set in separately. A one-piece lower sleeve section gathers into a wristband to extend the sleeve to full length when wanted. The dress opens on the left shoulder for easy dressing, and the front carries a pair of inset welt pockets. A narrow strap tacked at each underarm seam holds a leather belt in place at the waist.

This pattern was featured in the December 1922 Ladies' Home Journal (page 80), in a piece on the season's new slip-on dresses. The magazine highlighted the yoked version made up in a combination of plaid and plain wool as especially attractive, noting the design's flexibility between short and long sleeves. The pattern stayed in circulation long enough to appear again in the Ladies' Home Journal's 1924 catalog.
