Ladies Home Journal 1228: 1930s Uncut Misses Street Dress 34 B Vintage Sewing Pattern
Ladies Home Journal AND New York Pattern 1228
An Original Vintage Sewing Pattern
Stunning Misses Street Dress Pattern
This pattern is significant because it is a cross over pattern from New York and Ladies Home Journal. New York Patterns was formed when a group of designers broke off from the Ladies Home Journal. As New York Patterns, the produced patterns directly to stores with waxy sleeves that went over the patterns and those were printed with the name of the store. In this case, the waxy envelope is present and printed with Ladies Home Journal. You can see both logos, the New York logo is one the paper envelope and the Ladies Home Journal logo is on the waxy outer envelope. Truly a one of kind pattern find.
