Design
McCall's 9513 is built from a single lightly dart-fitted dress body, then finished three different ways at the neckline. View A takes a scooped neckline, traditionally worn with a ribbon sash at the waist. View B is a Pinched Lace dress with a V-shaped neckline, where the front and back darts are omitted entirely and lace ruffling is worked directly into the neck seam for texture. View C offers a squared neckline for the most tailored of the three looks. All three share faced and interfaced necklines, a center back zipper, and are cut from just thirteen pattern pieces - part of McCall's "Time Saving Quickie" line, marketed for dressmakers who wanted a fast, dependable make without sacrificing polish.
