Design

McCall 8067 buttons all the way down the front to a rounded collar, with a belted waist marking the transition to a skirt built for movement - a triangular inset at center back opens into extra fullness beyond what the side seams alone would give, sweeping to roughly 94" around the lower edge at Size 16. View A offers long sleeves, View B short sleeves with contrast armbands (and an optional collar), and View C long sleeves with a fitted cuff. Fourteen pattern pieces are included.

A Moment in Fashion History

The triangular back-skirt inset on McCall 8067 was a practical way to build genuine fullness into a garment without cutting the entire skirt from wide circular panels - a construction shortcut still delivering the fitted-waist, full-skirted silhouette that had come to define fashion in the years following Dior's 1947 New Look.

Illustration

The cover illustration has been digitally restored and enhanced by Judy Yates to highlight the original fashion artwork while preserving the character and artistry of this historic McCall pattern envelope.
