The bands carry the design: folk florals and a stylized flower worked in cross-stitch and outline embroidery from the two transfers. View A is yellow with a white embroidered hem; View B, white with coral bands; View C, a polka-dot apron with blue bands. The back gives embroidery thread counts for each colorway in pearl cotton No. 5 or six-strand cotton. The apron takes half a yard of 35-inch material plus three-quarters of a yard of contrast for the bands and ties; gingham, cotton broadcloth, percale, sateen, and unbleached muslin are suggested.
