McCall 418 offers a full wardrobe cut in forty-one pieces plus one embroidery transfer. View A is a tie-shoulder pajama set with wide-leg trousers, embroidered with a monogram-style motif. View B is a smock with a collar, patch pocket, and banded sleeves. View C is an embroidered dress with a matching wide-brimmed sun hat, finished with bias binding. View D pairs a collared jacket with a plaid skirt on a fitted waistband. View E is a swing coat with an embroidered collar and matching bonnet-style hat. Designed for "Movie" Dolls - the unnamed but instantly recognizable composition dolls modeled on child star Shirley Temple, whose likeness could not be printed on pattern envelopes of this era due to licensing restrictions that predate her name's later use on officially licensed sewing patterns in the 1950s. The dolls' signature curled hairstyle, visible on the envelope illustrations, was the era's open, unspoken identifier. This pattern was cut across five sizes - 13", 16", 18", 20", and 25" - and this copy is a Size 16.
