Design
McCall 355 offers a full wardrobe cut in thirty-four pieces plus one embroidery transfer. View A is a tie-belt bath robe with patch pockets and embroidered trim, finished with tasseled tie ends. View B is a simple pajama set. View C pairs a collared, cuffed coat with a matching brimmed cap tied with ribbon. View D is a button-front dress with a contrast collar and lace edging. View E is a dress and matching bonnet, the dress gathered at a waist seam with a full skirt, trimmed in embroidery and lace. A separate combination slip, closing with a continuous lap placket, completes the set. Embroidery on Views A, B, and E is worked in six-strand cotton or pearl cotton No. 3.

Designed for "Movie" Dolls - the unnamed but instantly recognizable composition dolls modeled on child star Shirley Temple, whose likeness couldn't be printed on pattern envelopes of this era due to licensing restrictions that predate her name's later official use on 1950s sewing patterns. This pattern was cut across five sizes - 13", 16", 18", 20", and 25" - and this copy is a Size 13.
