These fantastic sewing books were published by the Woman's Institute of Domestic Arts & Sciences founded by Mary Brooks Picken. Mary Brooks Picken was the most prolific sewing teacher and writer of all time. In addition to this series she also wrote the best how to sew guide book produced by Singer. All told she wrote 96 books on sewing. She also taught "Economics of Fashion" at Columbia University.
Each Woman's Institute Book is a small 5 1/2 by 8 1/2 Inch booklet. This book is dated 1920 on the front cover. This book starts on page 35 and ends on page 70, it is part 2 of a two part series. The pages are all tight in the binding but the cover has one tiny stain.
