This book is one of a large series of correspondence school textbooks starting in 1915 and going into the late 1920s. These fantastic sewing books were published by the Woman's Institute of Domestic Arts & Sciences founded by Mary Brooks Picken. Mary Brooks Picken was the most prolific sewing teacher and writer of all time. In addition to this series she also wrote the best how to sew guide book produced by Singer. All told she wrote 96 books on sewing. She also taught "Economics of Fashion" at Columbia University.

Each Woman's Institute Book is a small 5 1/2 by 8 1/2 Inch booklet. This is dated 1920 on the cover. It is 44 pages long with all the pages tight in the binding.  There is a minor storage stain on the cover as shown in the pictures.
