Original 1951 McCall Printed Pattern No. 8510 for a women's and misses' dress, offered in two views. A contrast, V-shaped yoke sets off a button-front bodice with cap sleeves, cinched by a belted waist above a full, gored skirt that sweeps to roughly 85 1/2" around the lower edge in Size 14. Factory Folded and Unused.

Design
McCall 8510 builds its bodice around a contrast V-shaped yoke - View A finished with a pointed collar in a lengthwise-striped contrast fabric, View B with a simple round collar - both buttoning down the front to a fitted, belted waist. Below, the skirt is cut in gored panels for a smooth, full sweep, finishing at roughly 85 1/2" around the lower edge at Size 14. Ten pattern pieces are included, with instructions printed in English, French, and Spanish.

By 1951, the fitted-waist, full-skirted line that had come to define postwar fashion was firmly established in everyday McCall's offerings, not just in couture collections.
