The coat is cut from eleven pieces: front, back, pocket, collar, tie, sleeve, upper and under cuffs, upper and under cap sleeves, and belt. For Size 8, the envelope calls for 2⅞ yards of 35-inch fabric or 1¾ yards of 54-inch fabric, plus 1¾ yards of 35-inch lining, and gives separate yardage for a coat with a contrasting collar and tie ends.
