Design
Pattern 3099 builds a seven-piece kimono-waisted dress around a vest that shows through a side opening at the left, closing with snap fasteners rather than a center-front seam. The full-length kimono sleeve is perforated for a shorter option, finished with a wristband or a turned cuff, and a self sash ties around the waist. Below, a one-piece straight-gathered skirt joins the waist with a stay-belt smoothing the gathers at the front.

This pattern remained in print long enough to appear again in the Ladies' Home Journal's 1924 pattern catalog, evidence of how durable a well-liked kimono-sleeved silhouette could be across several sewing seasons.
