Design
Simplicity 8811 gives a toddler three easy one-piece outfits from one pattern. Each has a lowered round neckline and shoulder extensions that button to the front, which makes dressing a wiggly little one quick. View 1 is a short-length jumpsuit, View 2 is a bubblesuit gathered with elastic at the leg edges for a round, puffy shape, and View 3 is an ankle-length jumpsuit with wide, flared legs. Views 1 and 2 feature the included transfer for a cheerful dachshund and butterfly appliqué. Eight pieces plus the transfer.
A Moment in Fashion History
By 1970 children's clothing had caught the relaxed, playful spirit of the era. Wide flared legs echoed the bell-bottoms their parents were wearing, while simple jumpsuits with button shoulders made dressing and changing easy. Bright colors and whimsical appliqués like this dachshund were everywhere, turning practical playclothes into something fun.
