Design
McCall's Pattern 3429 dresses a teen fashion doll in the softer, romantic styles of the early 1970s, and it was sold as a Step-by-Step Pattern with 20 pattern pieces. View C is the wedding gown: an empire-waisted column with full raglan sleeves gathered into ruffled cuffs and a band of trim running down the front, worn with a net veil. View B is a sleeveless, scoop-neck bodysuit cut for unbonded stretch knits, made to wear under View A, a wide, wrap-around pantskirt tied at the waist with ribbon. View D is a short raglan-sleeve dress with a ruffled neckline and an eyelet-ruffled hem. View E pairs a rick rack-trimmed raglan top with long flared pants. View F is a hooded cape edged in decorative trim and tied with ribbon. View G is a long, sleeveless dress gathered at the neckline with ribbon ties. View H is a short top tied at the shoulders, with lace-ruffled panties. View I is a long empire dress with puffed sleeves and a ruffled hem. View J is a long pinafore with a trimmed bib, shoulder straps, and an eyelet-ruffled hem. The envelope gives the exact piece of fabric each view needs, so the whole trousseau can be made from scraps.
