Design
Simplicity 2659 pairs a sun-back dress with an optional matching jacket for cooler moments. The halter neckline finishes with a tie, or with heavy cording that ties at center back for a sportier, rope-belt look - the illustration shows the cording doing double duty as a self-belt at the waist. The skirt falls from an inverted pleat set at both front and back for ease of movement, with a slide fastener closing optional. The cropped jacket adds a notched collar and short cuffed sleeves, giving the sleeveless dress a finished, put-together look for daytime wear.
